Hello!

My name is Jacobus Janse van Rensburg, born on 13/10/98. I matriculated in 2017 at Tyger Valley College. I then enrolled at the University of Pretoria where I studied a BSc in Computer Sciences and graduated at the end of 2020.

I love programming and my dream is to one day create educational video games for High School students that struggle with textbook learning. I'm fond of Web Development and solving problems with the knowledge I have acquired throughout my studies.

I welcome a challenge and always try to complete my work as close to perfect as possible. I am hard working and very diligent.

During my time as a Undergraduate in Computer Sciences at the University of Pretoria I learned plenty of skills, Technologies and languages. These languages include Java, C++ , Python , C#, HTML5 , CSS , JavaScript , NODE JS , Scheme , Prolog , Ruby.

The skills that I acquired just to name a few includes web development, Software Engineering, databases, Compiler Construction , AI , Concurrent Computation, Networking and GIT.

For our final project in third year for Software Engineering my group developed a system to be used by dentists. The System allowed for a dentist to take a video of a patients teeth and the video would be pipelined through a process to create a 3D replica of the tooth that the dentist can then view on the screen. Along with this the system had a website for the dentist and the receptionist. This websites goal was to replace the paper records and file systems that dentists still use to this date. The website allowed for new dentists to register their practice and have a receptionist that would schedule the new appointments , new patients. For the receptionist we created a variety of QR Codes generated by the API that the patients can Scan to fill in forms and for bookings we created a weekly calendrer that is color coded and incorporated fuzzy logic in order to find the optimal booking slot for the patient. The doctors end can see the bookings and create consultation records on the website for each booking that is saved into the database for later use.
